Carthage, United States • 6 months agoAlso the tech appointment they set for me was 20 days away. HOW? HOW can a company be that bad to need 20 days just to check the situation? HOW does any internet company expect a customer to go 20 or more days without internet in 2024. My account needs to be credited and charges put on hold. I'm also paying for streaming and TV and internet related charges that should be considered refunded by brightspeed as well.

Speeds have been cut to less than 3mb down and almost 0 up. Called last week to report and all they want to do is send tach to check my equipment and lines. It is on your end Brightspeed. Over 360 outages in my NC area. Then they brag on FB this "Brightspeed has been awarded more than $213 million in local, state and federal grants and funds to extend our planned #fiberbroadband network build in 12 states." Government should request that tax payer money returned and give us a credible internet company. Reporting to FCC I'm sick of being stolen from by this corporation!

Instead, I continue to be rerouted to a page that says page not found. So now it's the middle of the night and I supposed to sit on the phone for hours, because their website is a piece of crap. The hurricane and the power are back up, but lord help ya if you work from home in this neck of the wood. 75801 has no internet, I had to report this here because Brightspeed needs better web designers.

NC, Edenton 27933 - Yeopim area of Chowan Co. All service (landlines & internet) was out for 36 hours. All came back online about noon today (10/13/23). Internet failed approximately 2:00pm. Internet STILL dead !!! Brightspeed is the lousiest telecom service in the nation.

Live service representative is little to no help. Repair service was set up for a week after I reported total black out. The day before the service technician was due to arrive, the appointment was cancelled due to "known outage" in my area. I never had this problem in 30 years when my service was Centurylink. If there was another alternative for internet service besides satellite, I'd sign up for it.

I have been out of internet service since the first week of June. At first I was told there was no outage and I scheduled a repair tech to come out. I immediately got a text message saying that appointment had been canceled due to an outage. I followed up with a week to find out the status. The representative again told me there was no outage. I explained to them the text message I received. They investigated it and told me there was in fact an issue and hoped to have it resolved soon. I contacted them again with a week via chat, and was informed after troubleshooting and investigating. They apologized but was unsure when the problem would be fixed. They thank me for being a customer. I asked once the problem was fixed would I have that month's and the next month's bill waived. They told me they could only not charge for the dates that my service was interrupted.
My business is dependent upon internet service. In order for me to have internet service from my home, I had to purchase a mobile hot spot from Verizon.
I don't EVER recall having this issue when the service was through CenturyLink.
