- Update the game
After a patch, old versions usually cannot join servers. Check the console, launcher or app store.
- Note the error code
Look it up on the game's official support site. Connection or server codes usually mean the problem is not on your side.
- Repair the game files
On PC, use "Verify" or "Repair" in Steam, Epic Games, Battle.net or the EA app.
- Use a wired connection
Turn off any VPN, plug in a network cable or restart your router to fix lag and disconnects.

Is Star Citizen down right now?
No. Right now there are no widespread problems with Star Citizen. If it is not working for you, the problem is probably on your side. See "Is it just me?" above.
Why isn't Star Citizen working for me?
Most problems are local. Restart the app or device, check your internet connection, and make sure the app is up to date. If many other people are reporting the same problem, Star Citizen itself is probably having an outage and you need to wait.
How do I report a problem with Star Citizen?
Use the "I have a problem" button at the top of this page and pick what is not working. Reports are anonymous. They help other people see right away if Star Citizen is down for everyone.
How does IsDownUS decide if Star Citizen is down?
We count problem reports from users in 15-minute intervals and compare the last hour with what is normal for that time of day over the last 4 weeks. A small rise shows "Possible problems".
