About Meta AI
Meta AI is Meta's AI assistant for questions, writing and image generation. People use it inside WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Messenger, in the Meta AI app, on the web and on Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Because it is built into Meta's apps, problems often show up as the Meta AI button missing, replies not loading or image generation errors in one of those apps.
Meta AI status FAQ
Quick answers about Meta AI outages.
Is Meta AI down right now?
No. Right now there are no widespread problems with Meta AI. If it is not working for you, the problem is probably on your side. See "Is it just me?" above.
Why isn't Meta AI working for me?
Most problems are local. Restart the app or device, check your internet connection, and make sure the app is up to date. If many other people are reporting the same problem, Meta AI itself is probably having an outage and you need to wait.
How do I report a problem with Meta AI?
Use the "I have a problem" button at the top of this page and pick what is not working. Reports are anonymous. They help other people see right away if Meta AI is down for everyone.
How does IsDownUS decide if Meta AI is down?
We count problem reports from users every 15 minutes and compare the last hour with what is normal for that time of day over the past week. A small rise shows "Possible problems". Many more reports than normal show "Problems detected". The status is based on user reports only and is not official information from Meta AI.
Why don't I see Meta AI in WhatsApp?
Meta AI is only available in some countries and is still rolling out, so you may not have it even if friends nearby do. In some markets it only appears when your phone is set to certain languages.
