Is it just me?
If others are not reporting problems, try these steps first.
- Let Notetaker in from the waiting room
Notetaker tries to join for about 12 minutes and then leaves. Ask the host to admit it from the waiting room, or turn the waiting room off.
- Allow guests who are not signed in
Notetaker cannot join meetings that require signing in to Zoom, Teams or Meet. The meeting must allow external guests.
- Test the meeting link in a private window
Paste the meeting URL into an incognito window. If it does not open the meeting, fix the link or add the meeting ID and password.

About Otter.ai
Otter.ai records and transcribes meetings and conversations and writes AI summaries and action items. People use it in a browser, in its mobile apps and through its assistant that joins Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet calls. Problems usually show up as the assistant not joining a meeting, recordings that do not transcribe or calendar sync issues.

Is Otter.ai down right now?
No. Right now there are no widespread problems with Otter.ai. If it is not working for you, the problem is probably on your side. See "Is it just me?" above.
Why isn't Otter.ai working for me?
Most problems are local. Restart the app or device, check your internet connection, and make sure the app is up to date. If many other people are reporting the same problem, Otter.ai itself is probably having an outage and you need to wait.
How do I report a problem with Otter.ai?
Use the "I have a problem" button at the top of this page and pick what is not working. Reports are anonymous. They help other people see right away if Otter.ai is down for everyone.
How does IsDownUS decide if Otter.ai is down?

Why didn't Otter Notetaker join my meeting?
The host may not have admitted it from the waiting room, the meeting may require attendees to sign in, or the meeting link may be wrong. Notetaker keeps trying for about 12 minutes before it leaves.
