- Sign in to the QuillBot extension
In Google Docs the QuillBot widget only works when you are logged in to your QuillBot account in the browser extension.
- Switch Google Docs to page mode
QuillBot does not work in pageless documents. In Google Docs, go to File, Page setup, and choose Pages.
- Turn on 'Enable Quillbot' in the extension
Click the QuillBot icon in your browser toolbar, open the settings popup and make sure Enable Quillbot is on.
- Allow QuillBot on every website in Safari
If QuillBot for Safari does not appear on a site, click its icon and choose Always Allow on Every Website.

Why isn't QuillBot working for me?
Most problems are local. Restart the app or device, check your internet connection, and make sure the app is up to date. If many other people are reporting the same problem, QuillBot itself is probably having an outage and you need to wait.
How do I report a problem with QuillBot?
Use the "I have a problem" button at the top of this page and pick what is not working. Reports are anonymous. They help other people see right away if QuillBot is down for everyone.
How does IsDownUS decide if QuillBot is down?
We count problem reports from users every 15 minutes and compare the last hour with what is normal for that time of day over the past week. A small rise shows "Possible problems". Many more reports than normal show "Problems detected". The status is based on user reports only and is not official information from QuillBot.
Why is the QuillBot icon grayed out in Google Docs?
You may not be logged in to QuillBot in the extension, the document may be in pageless mode, or the extension may be turned off. Log in, switch to Pages under File, Page setup, and turn on Enable Quillbot in the extension settings.
