Most providers show outages for your address in their app or account page, and many can restart your modem from there.
- Test with a cable
Plug a computer into the router with a network cable. If that works, the problem is your Wi-Fi, not the internet line.
- Check cables and lights
Make sure the coax, fiber or phone cable is tight. A red or blinking light on the modem usually means no signal from the provider.
- Contact your provider
Use the number on your bill or the official app. Never call numbers posted in comments or search ads.
