If KICK reports an outage or degraded service, the lag is on their side and you can only wait for the fix.
- Upload speed should be twice your bitrate
Streaming at 6,000 kbps needs about 12 Mbps of upload. Lower your bitrate or use a wired connection if it is too low.
- Refresh if chat freezes
Chat problems are usually temporary. Refresh the page or reopen the app, try another browser, or clear cache and cookies.

About Kick
Kick is a live streaming platform for gaming, IRL, music and talk streams, where viewers chat with and subscribe to streamers. People watch on its website and in its apps for phones, smart TVs and streaming devices, and streamers broadcast with OBS and other software. Problems usually show up as streams that buffer or do not load, chat that stops or broadcasts that disconnect.

Is Kick down right now?
No. Right now there are no widespread problems with Kick. If it is not working for you, the problem is probably on your side. See "Is it just me?" above.
Why isn't Kick working for me?
Most problems are local. Restart the app or device, check your internet connection, and make sure the app is up to date. If many other people are reporting the same problem, Kick itself is probably having an outage and you need to wait.
How do I report a problem with Kick?
Use the "I have a problem" button at the top of this page and pick what is not working. Reports are anonymous. They help other people see right away if Kick is down for everyone.
How does IsDownUS decide if Kick is down?

Why is my KICK stream lagging or buffering?
First check KICK's System Status page. If KICK is fine, your upload speed may be too low for your bitrate: it should be at least twice the bitrate. Lower the bitrate, resolution or framerate, or switch to a wired connection.
