Is it just me?
If others are not reporting problems, try these steps first.
- No deposit means Chime hasn't received it
Chime posts direct deposits as soon as it gets them and never shows them as pending. If you do not see it, it is still with your payer.
- Ask your payer for the ACH trace number
If your employer says it was sent, get the ACH trace number and share it with Chime support so they can find it.
- Add money if a card payment is declined
Declines often mean low balance or a spending limit. Add money with Move in the app, and check your CVV and expiration date.

Chime is a US financial technology company that offers checking and savings accounts through partner banks, with a debit card, early direct deposit and fee-free overdraft through SpotMe. Is Chime down right now?
No. Right now there are no widespread problems with Chime. If it is not working for you, the problem is probably on your side. See "Is it just me?" above.
Why isn't Chime working for me?
Most problems are local. Restart the app or device, check your internet connection, and make sure the app is up to date. If many other people are reporting the same problem, Chime itself is probably having an outage and you need to wait.
How do I report a problem with Chime?
Use the "I have a problem" button at the top of this page and pick what is not working. Reports are anonymous. They help other people see right away if Chime is down for everyone.
How does IsDownUS decide if Chime is down?
We count problem reports from users every 15 minutes and compare the last hour with what is normal for that time of day over the past week. A small rise shows "Possible problems". Many more reports than normal show "Problems detected". The status is based on user reports only and is not official information from Chime.
Why hasn't my Chime direct deposit arrived?
Chime posts deposits as soon as it receives them, so a missing deposit is still with your payer. Ask them when it was sent and for the ACH trace number. A name mismatch can also cause the deposit to be returned.
